Benue State First Lady, Founder, Eunice Springs of Life Foundation, ( ESLF) and Secretary, Northern Governor Wives Forum, Dr. Mrs Eunice Erdoo Ortom hosts Stakeholders and Civil Society Organizations to a conference on Gender based and other related violence escalating in our society today.

The 2-day conference which is taking place at New Banquet Hall, People House Makurdi, is organised by the Office of the First Lady of Benue State.

The GBV conference will among other things brainstorm on;

*Promoting campaigns against Gender based violence.

*Promoting the dignity of womanhood 

*Harnessing areas and ways to curb gender based violence .

*Addressing issues that give rise to domestic violence and other abuses.  

*How to protect Widows from violence

*How to handle GBV Offenders

*How to prevent and respond to GBV during Post Covid-19

*How to Access Medical Attention/Help for the victims of GBV.

*The Role of Women Societies/Organizations in curtailing GBV.

Among the organisations the will present papers at the ongoing conference include; FIDA, NAPTIP, BENGONET/CSO-B, ESLF, NCWS, NMA-Women.

Resolutions will be reached at the end of the conference.

The wife of the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Her Excellency, Justice Mary Abounu is among the participants.
