The hearing, which is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, is part of the broader national constitutional review process initiated by the National Assembly.
In a statement released on Friday, Hon. Agbese through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Williams Ochonu William Okefie described the committees as "cornerstones of his commitment" to inclusive representation and grassroots-driven reform. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the voices of the Enone people — comprising Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo LGAs — are not only heard but effectively captured in the redrafting of the nation’s supreme legal document.
The composition of the subcommittees is as follows:

Hon. Dan Atayi has been appointed as Media Assistant to all the subcommittees.
Hon. Agbese further announced that prominent sons and daughters of the constituency have also been invited to join in the deliberations, ensuring an all-encompassing and people-driven contribution to the constitutional review process.
> “The committee, combined with the involvement of our prominent sons and daughters, will ensure our constituency’s aspirations are powerfully represented in Lafia,” he said.
He described the initiative as part of a broader vision to secure a constitution that aligns with the values and developmental priorities of his constituents.
> “This committee builds on our proven track record of unity and collaboration across boards, which we have demonstrated time and again. I urge every constituent to support this committee and our invited stakeholders as they prepare to represent us. This is our moment to shape a constitution that reflects our values and secures a prosperous future for our people,” Agbese stated.
He also encouraged constituents to submit proposals and suggestions through their respective subcommittee members to ensure that local inputs shape the new constitutional framework.
The move by Hon. Agbese has been widely lauded by political observers and stakeholders in Benue South as a commendable effort to democratize the constitutional review process and ensure robust, bottom-up engagement.
