(Truepointnews)Nigerian filmmaker, songwriter and rapper, Osang Romanus, populary known as Roy Obajana from Cross River State, has made a powerful return to the entertainment scene with the release of his four‑track EP title "Vatican Shadows", marking his first major music project since a life‑changing health crisis in 2017.

Roy, who is currently based in Abuja, has worn many hats in the creative industry — from producing the Miss Falconette Nigeria beauty pageant to producing films such as "The Farmer’s Bride". However, his thriving career came to a halt when he suffered a partial stroke in September 2017, forcing him into three crucial years of isolation and recovery.

Now, after years away from the spotlight, Obajana is back with an EP he describes as both a “comeback” and a “global statement”. Distributed worldwide via Soundrop, the project features four diverse tracks:

"Paradise" – a tribute to his home state, Cross River, with vivid lyrical imagery.

"A Million Miles" – an emotionally charged anthem close to the artiste’s heart.

"Vatican Shadows" – a deeply philosophical track exploring creation and existence.

"I Need Love On My Birthday" – a catchy, feel‑good song already resonating with fans locally and abroad.

“This is not just Afrobeat — it’s rap, it’s hip‑hop, it’s global,” Obajana said. “Nobody expected me to be back, but God gave me a second chance. This EP is proof that I’m here to stay.”

Despite being abandoned by many friends and associates during his illness, Obajana is determined to rebuild his brand and take his music to the global stage. “We are coming out big,” he affirmed. “The feedback has been amazing. Nobody has said otherwise — the music is good.”

Looking ahead, Obajana revealed plans to revive his beauty pageant brand and return to filmmaking, aiming to merge his talents in music, film, and event production into one powerful entertainment empire. “This is just the beginning,” he said. “Everything I lost is coming back, bigger and better.”

The EP is now available on all major music streaming platforms worldwide under the name "Roy Obajana".
