The National Assembly has announced the resumption of plenary sessions for both chambers, with lawmakers expected to reconvene on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

In an official notice issued to members, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Mr. Kamoru Ogunlana, Esq., directed all Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members of the House of Representatives to resume legislative duties as scheduled.

According to the statement, the Senate and the House of Representatives will simultaneously reconvene for plenary, where “very crucial decisions” are expected to be taken by each Chamber.

Lawmakers were urged to take note of the resumption date and adjust their engagements accordingly to ensure full attendance at the session.

The notice emphasized the importance of the upcoming sitting, signaling that key legislative matters will dominate proceedings as federal lawmakers return to the chambers.
