Waya made the call during a meeting with the State Executive Committee of the party in Makurdi, convened by the State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu.
The aspirant said his ambition is driven by the need to address insecurity, promote development, and unite the people of Benue State. He also stressed the importance of fairness and equal opportunity for all aspirants participating in the party’s primary election.
Party members at the meeting welcomed the call for internal democracy, describing it as a positive step toward strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
