Senator Abba Moro congratulates Olaka Nwogu on electoral victory

TRUEPOINTNEWS ABUJA- The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, on behalf of the minority caucus of the senate, congratulates the candidate of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Olaka Nwogu, in the Saturday bye-election in Rivers State on his landslide victory.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, on Sunday, declared Nwogu as the winner of the Rivers South East Senatorial District bye-election. He polled 47,961 votes to defeat the APC candidate who scored 1,647.

Senator Moro attributes Ngwogu's victory to the growing acceptability of the PDP and doggedness of the National Leader of the party and Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike. 

The senator says Wike's leadership of the PDP is returning the party to its winning ways and assures of his continued contribution to strengthen the party at all levels ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He congratulates Nwogu and heartily welcomes him to the senate. He promises to provide the necessary guidance and support for him to have a smooth stay in the senate.
