Patriot Ogbu described the late Prof. Salifu as a distinguished statesman, accomplished administrator, respected scholar, and committed democrat whose contributions to the growth of Benue State and the strengthening of the ADC will remain indelible.
He noted that Prof. Salifu's unwavering dedication to the ideals of good governance, justice, and people-oriented leadership inspired many within the party and beyond, adding that his death is a painful loss not only to his family but also to the ADC, the people of Apa, the Idoma nation, and Benue State as a whole.
Patriot Ogbu extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the ADC family in Apa Local Government Area, the Benue State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, and the entire Idoma nation. He prayed that Almighty God grants the late Prof. David Salifu eternal rest and gives all those mourning him the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
