Ujor is more than a celebration of the new yam harvest; it is a proud expression of our culture, identity and communal values. It is a time for our people to come together, give thanks for the harvest, celebrate our heritage and renew the bonds that unite us.
I commend the people of Igumale for keeping this important tradition alive and for preserving it for generations yet unborn.
Our culture remains one of the strongest pillars of our identity, and we must continue to protect and promote it.
As we celebrate, I urge our people to embrace peace, unity and mutual respect, while using the occasion to strengthen our collective commitment to the growth and development of Igumale and Ado Local Government Area.
May this year’s Ujor bring abundant harvests, greater prosperity, peace and progress to every home in Igumale.
