The Benue State Action Committee on Coronavirus will today commence distribution of hand sanitizers to the three senatorial zones of the state.
The distribution team for Zone A is led by Commissioner for Water Resources and Environment, Engr Dondo Ahire; that for Zone B is headed by Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon Ngunan Addingi, while the team for Zone C is led by Commissioner for Health ad Human Services, Dr Sunday Ongbabo.
The three teams will arrive Katsina-Ala, Gboko and Otukpo this morning to present thousands of cartons of the hand sanitizers to Council Chairmen for onward distribution to the 23 local government areas of the state.
Governor Samuel Ortom, while interacting with the State Action Committee on COVID-19 a few days ago, commended the team for the job so far done in preventing the spread of the pandemic and urged them to keenly supervise the distribution to ensure that the hand sanitizers get to all parts of the state.
