The Principal Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Special Duties, Hon. Abrahams Kwaghngu has encouraged the leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) Benue State Chapter to embark on programmes that will benefit the youths.
He made the charge today when the Comrade Isaac Mtom led State Executive Council paid him a courtesy call at his Makurdi residence.
Hon. Kwaghngu noted that Governor Samuel Ortom was aware of the need to engage the youths on meaningful ventures that could make them self-reliant hence his decision to organize the Benue Youth Summit to chat a way forward for the youths in the state.
He said that due to the high level of unemployment in the state and the over dependence on white collar jobs which he noted were inadequate, the leadership of NYC should partner government and NGOs in other to carry out activities that would improve the economic well-being of the youths.
The Youth friendly politician who revealed that the Governor was making efforts to vigorously tackle the issue of unemployment especially among the youths also assured his guests that very soon more programmes will be Kickstarted the Governor Samuel Ortom administration.
Earlier the state chairman of the Nigerian Youth Congress, Comrade Isaac Mtom disclosed that they were in his house to appreciate him for his efforts in championing the cause of the youths in the state as well as his support to the NYC.
In their separate remarks, Comrades, Tion Paul Tyover, Nelson Ogbu, Gberindyer Vanen and Teryila Agaigbe all applauded Hon. Abrahams Kwaghngu for his youth friendly disposition.
