ONGOING WORK ON OCH'IDOMA PALACE EXCITES HOUSING COMMISSIONER

The quality and pace of work on the ongoing remodeling of Och'idoma palace in Otukpo has today excited the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Chief Ekpe Ogbu.
 
Chief Ogbu stated who earlier today led the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Kenneth Achabo and Deputy Director Architectural Services, Architect David Igba on a routine inspection of the project expressed satisfaction with the work done so far. 

The Commissioner however, encouraged the contractor to sustain the tempo to keep to the contractual agreement, and attributed the pace of work to adequate release of funds by Governor Samuel Ortom for the project.

He said Governor Ortom has kept to his promise to the Idoma people to carry out the project and solicited the prayers, cooperation and support of the people to ensure that the intentions of the Governor towards a befitting Palace for the Idoma paramount ruler is fully actualized. 

Also speaking, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Achabo expressed optimism that with the speed and high quality execution of the job, the project would be delivered as expected.

In a remark, Managing Director of Intra Engineering and Tornkey Limited, Engineer Agaba Ikwe explained that the project which would be in three phases has administrative block, main residential palace and service quarters in the first phase.
