ABBA ADAUDU BAGS AWARD OF EXCELLENCE -Gives Ten Years Scholarship To Best Economic Students.

The Principal Partner of Abba Adaudu & Co and a renowned philanthropist, Mr. Abba Adaudu has bagged an excellent Award in recognition of his outstanding accomplishment in the society by the Department of Economics, Benue State University, Makurdi. 

The ceremony took place today, 30th November, 2023 at the Hosting of Alumni of Economic Department BSU and launch of a festschrift in honor of Professor Christopher Obilikwu Obute, (KSM, MON) at the Conference Hall of the faculty Of Social sciences of the Benue State University.

According to the Head of Department, HOD, Prof Isah Okpe, Mr. Adaudu's nomination for the award was purely in recognition of his tremendous achievements in the society as an economist and his numerous contributions to the department as an alumnus. 

While expressing joy over the honour bestowed on him, the Abuja based business mogul and community leader appreciated the HOD, Prof. Okpe, Prof Christopher Obute and all the Lecturers of the Department for inculcating the necessary values that have made him whom he has become and encouraged the students of the department to be hardworking, disccipline, diligent and meticulous as they take on their studies.

In a way of giving back to the department, Adaudu immediately announced a scholarship award to every 2 best graduating Students of the Department of Economics stretching through ten years and particularly commended Prof. Obute for his rigorous academic achievements and launched his book handsomely to the admiration of everyone at the event even as he made huge financial contribution for the take off of the proposed Econometrics Laboratory.

 Mr Abba Adaudu holds both Bachelor and Masters of Science Degrees (BSc & MSc) in Economics from BSU. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria that has undergone various training in International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), organised by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS). 

He is a young talented extraordinary personae that is highly numeric with excellent analytical skills. He is an experienced auditor and tax practitioner and has participated in the auditing of various private limited liability companies, public limited companies, Local Government Accounts, State and Federal Parastatals, Non-Governmental Organizations etc.

Dignitaries at the launch include Chairman of the occasion Dr Stephen Hwande, Benue State APC Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada, Nigerian Ambassador to Namibia, His Excellency, Ambassador Terhemen Tarzor among others.
