(TRUEPOINTNEWS ABUJA) The Member Representing Ado/Okpokwu/ Ogbadibo Federal constituency and Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Chief Philip Agbese has tasked all Idoma students studying in Federal University of Lafia, FULafia, to embrace unity of purpose in order to be above board in their endeavours and promote the ege long cultural values of the Idoma people.
Speaking on Sunday, 10th December at the University premises, venue for the Idoma day celebration organised by the National Association of Idoma Students, NAIS, FULafia Chapter as the Special Guest of Hounour, Agbese who was represented by Patriot Nelson Ogbu also admonished the students to shun all forms of social vices and focus on the imperatives of education which he hinted were the only prelude to achieving great heights in the society.
He unveiled the students Magazine and made huge cash donation for the development of the Association even as he promised to always stand by the students body at all times when he is call upon.
Highlights of the event were the display of the rich Idoma cultural heritage and goodwill messages as well as lectures from dignitaries like the former DVC of the university, Prof Idris Amali, the Staff Adviser and chairman of ASUU, FULAFIA, Dr Sunday Orinya and a Director with NDLEA, Comrade Peter Odaudu who all appreciated the students for being of good behaviour and for organising a colourful event.
