A frontline political support group, AKUME 4 TINUBU SUPPORT GROUP 2027, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his timely visit to Benue State today in response to the renewed wave of killings in parts of the state.
The group described the President’s visit as a “bold and compassionate move” that demonstrates his commitment to peace, national unity, and the protection of all Nigerian lives, regardless of region or political affiliation.
Speaking through its National Coordinator, Hon. Christie Mlan, the group said the President's personal appearance in Benue sends a strong signal to perpetrators of violence that the Federal Government will not tolerate any acts that endanger the peace and security of citizens.
The group also praised the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, for consistently drawing national attention to the plight of his people and working behind the scenes to facilitate stronger federal intervention in the region.
“The synergy between President Tinubu and SGF Akume is yielding real results for the North Central zone. We remain confident that with their leadership, lasting peace and security will be restored to Benue,” the statement added.
The AKUME 4 TINUBU SUPPORT GROUP 2027 reaffirmed its unflinching support for the Tinubu-led administration and urged citizens of Benue to remain hopeful and cooperative with government efforts aimed at resolving the lingering crisis.
