The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State has continued its rapid grassroots expansion, with over 2,000 new members — mostly youths and women — joining the party in Okpokwu Local Government Area.
The mass defection, led by the State Coordinator of ADC Media Frontiers, Rt. Hon. Daniel Edoache Atayi, marks another milestone in the party’s steady rise across Benue South Senatorial District.
Atayi said the surge reflects growing public confidence in the ADC’s integrity and reform-driven ideology, positioning the party as a credible alternative to the ruling and opposition parties.
He revealed that membership registration and card distribution have already begun, adding that the new entrants have pledged total support for Dr. David Olofu, PhD, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We are not waiting for any protocol — the time for political redemption is now, and the ADC must lead the charge,” Atayi declared.
He further noted that the next phase of the mobilization drive will target more women across all wards in Benue South, as the ADC intensifies efforts to consolidate its grassroots strength.
According to the State Director of Media and Publicity, Hon. Nelson Ogbu, the latest development underscores the party’s growing influence and the waning relevance of the APC and PDP in Benue politics.
