The member representing Ado/ Okpokwu/ Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Congressman Philip Agbese, has expressed profound appreciation to the Okanga Sisters for what he described as their steadfast and grassroot support as well as their remarkable commitment to the development of Enone.
In a special message of gratitude over the weekend, Agbese said the group has stood by him “through every step of this journey,” noting that their loyalty and belief in the shared vision for the constituency have strengthened ongoing efforts to build a united and progressive Enone.
Agbese described their massive turnout during his condolence visits to stakeholders across Enone as “a demonstration of remarkable solidarity and grace under challenging circumstances.”
He also commended the organisation’s rapid expansion, noting that the Okanga Sisters have grown to 50,000 members in less than a year—an achievement he said remains a source of joy and pride.
Quoting from Proverbs 31:29, Agbese likened the women to biblical figures of excellence: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” He said the verse captures the unwavering dedication, wisdom and strength embodied by the Okanga Sisters.
“You are the backbone of our movement, and your commitment continues to drive our collective success,” the lawmaker said.
He signed the message as “Your beloved Son and Brother,” reaffirming his close bond with the group.
