Aspirants of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State have showered glowing tributes on the party’s National Chairman, Senator David A. B. Mark, describing him as a pillar of stability and visionary leadership as the party unveiled its structure in Igumale, Ado Local Government Area.
Speaking at the well-attended event, the aspirants unanimously commended the former Senate President for what they termed courageous, disciplined and purposeful leadership, which they said has kept the ADC united and free from factional crisis in Benue State.
They pledged loyalty to Senator Mark and assured party faithful that their individual ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections would be pursued within the framework of unity and collective interest.
The unveiling, convened by Chief Patrick Ogbu, former Chairman of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and member of the Benue State ADC Steering Committee, brought together stakeholders and supporters from across the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo axis.
Those physically present included Hon. Agada Ogwuche Guchi, Hon. Ralph Otobo Odo, and Hon. Steven Adoyi Ojogbane, all aspiring to represent Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027. Each aspirant highlighted his vision and reaffirmed commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
Other aspirants for the same federal constituency seat — Hon. Ejembi Inalegwu Adaje and Hon. Emmanuel Orih — were represented by delegations, while the ADC Governorship aspirant, Engr. Andrew Abah, attended in person.
Senatorial aspirant, Dr. David Olofu, also sent a strong delegation that made notable contributions and charged members to remain united as the party consolidates its base across the state.
In his remarks, Chief Ogbu urged the people of Idoma land to embrace the ADC as a credible and stable political alternative, stressing that the party’s cohesion under Senator Mark’s leadership positions it strongly ahead of 2027.
The event featured colourful cultural dance performances and the symbolic blessings of aspirants by traditional rulers, reflecting growing grassroots support, even as the Local Government ADC Chairman Shagari Ejeke addressed the crowd.
The Igumale gathering ultimately became more than a routine unveiling — it was a public affirmation of confidence in Senator David Mark’s leadership as the ADC intensifies preparations for the next electoral cycle.
