Ado Local Government Area of Benue State stood still as a frontline aspirant for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency seat under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Agada Ogwuche, popularly known as Guchi, formally declared his intention to contest, drawing an unprecedented wave of support from party faithfuls, traditional rulers and the general public.
From Utonkon Junction to Igumale, the headquarters of Ado LGA, the atmosphere was electrifying as thousands of enthusiastic supporters flooded the streets, chanting solidarity songs and celebrating what many described as the emergence of a people-oriented leader poised to redefine representation.
The declaration train made its first major stop at the palace of the Ada Ado, Chief Onazi, where all ten ward heads of the local government gathered in a rare show of unity and acceptance. Speaking at the event, the ADC Chairman in Ado LGA, Hon. Shagari Ejeke Dogo, described Guchi as a worthy ambassador of the party whose track record, humility and commitment to service stand him out among his peers.
“We are proud of him. He has consistently represented the ideals of our party with integrity. Ado ADC is fully behind his aspiration,” Dogo declared.
Leaders across the zones also threw their weight behind the aspirant. Hon. Emmanuel Onazi (Lasa) and Hon. Agbese Onwe, speaking for Zones A and B respectively, assured Guchi of massive support, expressing confidence in his ability to clinch victory at the party primaries and ultimately deliver effective representation to the constituency.
