A frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State, Hon. Joseph Waya, has officially obtained the party’s Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja.

The development further signals the growing momentum surrounding his ambition ahead of the party primaries.

Hon. Waya arrived at the national secretariat alongside supporters and political associates drawn from the three senatorial zones of the state, reflecting what many described as increasing statewide acceptance of his aspiration. Among those present was Amb. Susan Waya.

Speaking shortly after obtaining the forms, the governorship hopeful declared that the “Benue Must Work Project” had formally commenced, stressing that the time had come for practical leadership focused on delivering results to the people.

According to him, Benue people deserve a government that prioritizes development, accountability, security, and improved welfare rather than empty political promises.

He also charged supporters to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilization across wards and polling units ahead of the primaries, expressing confidence that victory would come through organization, popular support, and collective commitment.

Senior members of the ADC national leadership who received the aspirant commended his dedication to the party and encouraged him to sustain the momentum toward the 2027 governorship contest.

As part of the visit, Hon. Waya presented copies of the nomination forms to Hon. Chille Igbawua, Adviser to the National Chairman of the ADC.
