Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Sen. Abdul Ahmed Ningi, a possible 2027 Bauchi State African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial aspirant, is an indefatigable never-say-die candidate, honest, determined, intelligent, composed, transparent and well prepared on indubitable track records of public service as a onetime Federal House of Representatives Majority Leader, Northern Senators Caucus Leader and a giant on the political space in the quest for a better developed Bauchi State.
Senator Ningi, of all the aspirants, remains the most qualified from public rating for trust with the herculean job of governing a complex state like Bauchi in 2027 based on the strength of his glaring records.
Indeed, all constellations, prognoses coupled with human factors seems favorably disposed to fly the flag of his party at the election being a formidable and redoubtable political stalwart made up of sterner stuff at a ripe age.
This is in contrast to the abysmal moral failing and the usual poor outing of some joking aspirants on other platforms who blunder into aspiration under an illusion and thereafter, hastily return to hiding after poor performance at the field on the D-day.
Without being immodest, the fully experienced lawmaker who dons the garb of the ADC bride can aptly be described as a political tactician and strategist imbued with high intelligent quotient, adept party organizer and a shrewd mobilizing factor of men and resources to maximize profit in the political arena.
Wali is destined through selfless and fearless political exploits in the ADC to alter the political scenario and mocking narratives in Bauchi State. Regardless of the asses that bray in the camp of malevolent political foes and juvenile position retaining agitators, he has through the grace of God attained a ripe age with unique outstanding contribution to humanity especially in the legislation, socio-economic and political landscape.
It may have been pertinent to highlight some of his humble and sacrificial yeomen services to the good of the democracy, good governance and nation building but for lack of space. The fast growing political colossus started as an intrepid young political activist in the banking industry and reached a higher responsibility before venturing into mainstream politics in 1998 to extend his service to his ancestral home.
After a meritorious service in the banking industry with unblemished record, he established himself on the political turf to represent his people in national parliament in 1999.
In all, Senator Ningi deployed quantum of wisdom, intellectualism, resources and personal liberty for the growth and sustenance of justice, equity and liberal democracy in both the federal constituency and senatorial district as member House of Representatives, and Distinguished Senator.
Now, to the crucial issue of the moment (agitation to zone elective positions within the State), first, charity must begin at home which is always a well considered opinion that one must be able to distinguish himself in diligent service in the home front before proceeding forth to contribute or render such services outside the home front. Senator Ningi even to the most jaundiced mind has excelled over the years in service delivery without an asking. Does he at this critical moment of nation building deserve any internal challenge from the party he, along with others are determined to sustain to change the narrative? The answer is not far from reasoning.
Since 1999, he has been paying his dues as a tested and pragmatic representative and one of the most contributing brain boxes of the Greater Bauchi Project.
It is worthy to note that he has not reneged or deviated for a fleeting second from the intricate, thorny and chosen path of progressivism and welfarist ideology which he imbibes courageously. With every sense of responsibility Ningi can be trusted with the herculean task of governing Bauchi State as majority of the electorates so desire, and if his party fields him as the most well deserved candidate for the 2027 contest.
He deserves the full support of the electorates across party divide to scale the electoral hurdle and access Bauchi State Government House to deploy his wealth of experience, courage and intelligence for the continuation of the laudable programmes already started by the exiting governor with some accomplished and in use tailored to the good of all.
At this juncture if one may ask, where has Senator Ningi failed in meeting the needs of the electorates in service delivery? If he has not been found wanting then where stands opposing his aspiration? Are those opponents armed with better credentials in service than him? Are the opponents truly sincere in their project or just about to trumpet disunity, hate and envy? Where has he faulted to warrant any perceived juvenile challenge at the most critical period of nation building? The eating lies in the pudding.
We stand on the pedestal of truth. As an entity, Bauchi Central Senatorial Zone had never witnessed aggressive development than in his tenure. The beat should go on. We stand with progress rather than subscribing to wishful thinking and retrogressive agitations. Sen. Abdul Ahmed Ningi should be massively supported to move along with Bauchi State to the next stage for the good of the entire State.
