Kwararafa Empire Steps Up Regional Peace and Unity Drive as Akii, AVM Monday Morgan (Rtd), Visits Paramount Rulers in Nasarawa and Plateau States

*LAFIA* / *JOS* , *NIGERIA* – In a major historic effort to strengthen regional cohesion, accelerate development, and reinforce national security, the Akii of the Kwararafa Empire, Air Vice Marshal Monday Riku Morgan (Rtd), concluded a high-level three-day courtesy visit to frontline traditional rulers across Nasarawa and Plateau States from August 10th to 12th, 2026.

The strategic tour focused on awakening the historical consciousness of the ancient Kwararafa Empire and positioning it as a pivotal force in national decision-making, peacebuilding, and sustainable socio-economic growth.

During the extensive tour, the Akii held extensive, closed-door deliberations with several revered paramount monarchs, including:

* HRM. Alh. Dr. Ahmadu Aliyu Oga Onawo, the Andoma of Doma, Nasarawa State.

* HRM. Miskoom Martin Muduutrie Shaldas III, the Lon-Gamai of Shendam, Plateau State.

* HRM. Nde Jika Golit, the Ngolon-Gas of Pankshin/Kanke, Plateau State.

* HRM. John Putmang Hires, the Mishkaham Mwaghavul, Plateau State.

The high-level discussions centered on addressing pressing regional security challenges, fostering inter-ethnic harmony, and designing collaborative frameworks for collective development. A primary focus of the interactions was the strategic reinvention of the cultural and socio-political identity of the Kwararafa people to ensure their voices remain prominent in shaping contemporary national policies.

A major outcome of the historic visits was the finalization of plans for an upcoming landmark summit. The summit will bring together all traditional rulers of the Kwararafa Empire alongside critical stakeholders, intellectuals, and leaders of thought. Scheduled to take place on September 19th, 2026, the summit will serve as a definitive platform to chart a prosperous and unified roadmap for the empire.

With a leader of the stature, experience, and patriotic dedication of AVM Monday Riku Morgan (Rtd) steering this vision, the Kwararafa Empire is positioned to regain its historic prominence and contribute meaningfully to the stability of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
