Members of your various communities will be be looking up to you for effective representation and optimal performance, the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, George Alli told members of his legislative council today at the council Secretariat during their swearing in ceremony.
He as well charged the lawmakers to enact people's oriented laws that would be beneficial to all even as he congratulated them for emerging as Representatives of their respective wards and advised them to try to be honest in their relationship with their constituents.
The chairman who urged the newly sworn in councillors to peruse the existing local government laws with the view to utilizing them for the betterment of humanity also expressed confidence in the ability of the lawmakers to live up to their responsibilities and advised them to feel free to consult him on any issue that may be of benefit to the council.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, the newly elected Leader of the legislative council, Alegwu Enokela representing Otobi Ward expressed gratitude to the Chairman and promised to collaborate with the Executive in the overall interest of the people on whose mandate they were riding.
