According to the President of the yearly Carnival, Prince Adwin Ochai, the award was in recognition of Angbo's immense contributions and commitments to the growth and development of Idoma land through his human interest reportage.
He received the award with other eminent Idoma personalities including the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, Professor Innocent Ujah.
