The representative of the people of Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency at the lower chambers of the National Assembly, Hon Phillip Agbese has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree (Ph.D. Honorary Causa) in Political Leadership by the prestigious Weldios University, Benin Republic.
The event which took place at The Yar'Adua Centre in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja earlier today witnessed the colourful decoration of Chief Agbese who is also the Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives among cheers from family, friends, associates and well-wishers.
The quintessential lawmaker according to the management of the university was selected alongside five other eminent Africans, including the Speaker of the South Sudan Transitional National Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jemma Kumba, for their profound contributions to humanity through philanthropy, human rights, pan-Africanism, human capital development, and legislative achievements.
The honoree while addressing the press at the sideline of the ceremony expressed joy for the recognition, emphasising that the honour will challenge him to do more and break new ground even as he dedicated the award to his family, constituents, supporters, and Nigerians at large.
