The African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the leadership of Senator David Mark, approved the expulsion of several prominent members of the party.
Those affected included Hon. Leke Abejide, a member of the House of Representatives; Nafiu Bala, former Deputy National Chairman; as well as Kenneth Ehiator, Stella Chukwu, and Elias Adiukwu.
The decision was ratified at the party’s National Convention held on Tuesday, where delegates endorsed the move following a motion raised on the floor. Senator Binos Yaroe, representing Adamawa South, moved the motion for their expulsion, which received the backing of the convention.
The development marked a significant step in the party’s internal restructuring efforts as it seeks to reposition itself ahead of future political engagements.
